HISTORY OF WILLIAMSBURG PLACE AND THE FARLEY CENTER
 William J. Farley, M.D. (1933-1995)
"The Farley Center at Williamsburg Place" is dedicated to the memory of Doctor Bill Farley. His contributions to the field of addictions treatment are countless and his love for his addicted colleagues inspired him to dedicate his life to helping them overcome their disease.
Bill's engaging smile, genuine love of his fellow man and keen sense of humor empowered him to reach out and touch the heart of the most desperately addicted and seemingly hopeless patient. Thousands of physicians, nurses, medical students, pharmacists and other health care workers owe their lives to this gentle giant. When Doctor Bill was in the room there was a sense of serenity and security that was felt and is greatly missed by the staff who worked with him.
It is our wish that every person who crosses our threshold in pain will leave us with a sense of peace and hope that Bill Farley left for us to share with you. |
