IS SOMEBODY YOU LOVE USING DRUGS?

Arguably the last thing a spouse, a sibling, a parent, or a friend wants to discover is that somebody close to them is abusing drugs. You may see behaviors in a loved one that first appear to be quirky, but soon become cause for concern. You have an inkling something is wrong, perhaps your loved one is doing something to damage his health, career, or life in general. How can you know for certain.

At Williamsburg Place and the William J. Farley Center, we have assisted many people with intervention and assisting people into rehabilitation. Oftentimes, it is a friend or relative who makes the initial call because the addict can not or will not admit there is a problem. Eventually addiction becomes difficult to hide, and at this point something needs to be done to ensure recovery. If you suspect something amiss, now is the time to act.

We encourage you to study these questions and see how many apply to your loved one. If you answer yes to any of them, chances are your friend, spouse, co-worker or friend has a problem with alcohol addiction that must be addressed.
Please call (800.582.3066) or email us if this is the case. Don't wait when your loved one's life may be at stake.
  • Have you noticed an overall change in behavior? Is your friend more depressed, moodier?
  • Does your friend seem more withdrawn, unwilling to talk about problems?
  • Does your friend appear less interested in activities and socializing?
  • Does your friend suddenly appear to have financial troubles?
  • Does your friend appear physically changed - tired, pale, and rapidly losing weight?
  • Have you noticed things missing whenever your friend visits?
  • Have you ever seen your friend drink to excess, or try drugs?
  • Does your friend become belligerent or hostile when you try to bring up these issues.

Know this: you are never alone in this fight to save your friend! If you have answered yes to any or all of the above questions, now is the time to contact Williamsburg Place at 800-582-6066 to discuss your options. Don't wait to make the call. Get help for your loved one now.
