2:30pm to 3:40 pm Disease Model of Chemical Dependency-Dr. Melissa Warner
or Dr. Omar Manejwala
3:45pm to 4:30pm Getting acquainted-Family members and patients
participating with each other
4:30pm to 5:00pm Film re: Relationships in Recovery - Family with patients
Saturday
9:15am to 4:30pm Overview of disease of addiction. Family issues and
dynamics will be explored that include co-dependency,
enabling, detachment and small group discussion. Lunch on
Campus. (Family only; patients do not attend Saturday or
Sunday)
Sunday
9:00am to 12:30pm Recovery, roles, rules and communication.
Lunch on Campus.
Family program education ends at 12:30pm for family members of Williamsburg Place Primary Program patients. (30 day program) There may be a family conference scheduled (1-5pm) with your patient and a therapist (your patient will know the time).
1:00pm to 4:00pm (Family of Farley patients only)
Farley Program conjoint preparation time for each
family member scheduled for a Conjoint Session. This
session should be planned mid-way into your patient's
treatment.
Monday
9:45am to 12:00pm Conjoint Sessions-Farley Program family participants with
their patients in group settings. (Conjoint = to come
together to take beginning steps in open, honest
communication)
12:00pm to 1:15pm Lunch on Campus.
1:30pm to 3:30pm Conjoint Sessions continued, if needed for completion.
All participants are requested to arrive at Williamsburg Place, Farley Hall by 2:00pm on Friday, 9:00am on Saturday and Sunday, and by 9:40am on Monday. Beverages are available in the cafeteria. Please let us know in advance if you have any dietary restrictions or medical problems of which we should be aware.
